STANDARDIZED TESTS
PSAT – Practice SAT, given once a year in October. Focused on Juniors, but open to all students.
Cost = $14.00 (Juniors may obtain a fee waiver).
PLAN – Practice ACT, given once a year in the Fall. Focused on Sophomores, but open to all students. Cost = $9.50.
ACT – Can be taken to meet Cal State and UC requirements. Check web site for test dates www.actstudent.org. Recommended that Juniors take in the Spring. Subjects tested: verbal, reading, math, science Cost = $32.00. Including writing Cost = $47.00. (Fee waiver available).
SAT Reasoning – Can be taken to meet Cal State and UC requirements. Check web site for test dates www.collegeboard.com. Recommended that Juniors take in the Spring. Subjects tested: verbal, reading, math and writing. Cost = $45.00 (Fee waiver available).
SAT Subject – Must be taken to meet UC requirements. Check web site for test dates www.collegeboard.com. Recommended that Seniors take in the Fall. Subjects tested: Literature, U.S. History, World History, Foreign Language. Students choose 3 subject areas to be tested. Basic Registration Cost = $20.00, add $9.00 for each additional test. Language Tests with listening add $20.00 to Basic registration fee.
