PUBLIC COMMUNITY COLLEGES
Students who plan to attend a community college after high school do not have to take the SAT or ACT to be admitted. Some students attend a community college for two years then transfer to a four-year university of complete their bachelor’s degree. If you plan to transfer to a four-year university, you will be admitted based on the courses take and grades earned from the community college.

A Word of Caution:
If you choose to attend a private junior college or trade school use great caution. Gather enough information to make a wise decision. Some of these schools do not keep promises, and they may NOT give you the results you hope for. ALWAYS ASK HOW MUCH THE COLLEGE WILL COST.
Often the term “helping you get financial aid” simply means student loans which you can get without their help. The school will get their money immediately, but you will have to repay every dollar of the loan for many years. In most cases, the community college can supply nearly every program you need at a fraction of the expense to you.
